AGBMS-AEHI Sponsors and Donors
Ron and MaryAnn Lachman Foundation
Ron and MaryAnn, the original founding family, remain dedicated to AGBMS-AEHI. Their son, Ben Lachman is a proud alumni of our school and continues to remain involved to this day. The Ron and MaryAnn Lachman Foundation continues to support the outreach component of AGBMS-AEHI: advancing Deaf Services, Cued Speech workshops, Camp Chi-Cue-Go, and CueCollege, an online cued speech learning platform. Ron Lachman continues to serve AGBMS-AEHI as president of the Board of DIrectors and provides insight and guidance as we continue to grow and thrive. We are very thankful for the continuing support of the Ron Lachman Family.
Ed & Glenys Chen, are among the founding families who are strong supporters of AGBMS and continue to support and advocate for Cued Speech. Their son, who was also deaf is an AGBMS alumnus and a successful artist and entrepreneur.
Sandy Mosetick, President Emeritus, Board of Directors, has provided AGBMS with the facility that is second to none in beauty and architure, while meeting green LEED Silver standards which has created a legacy that has the potential to last for decades to come. Her contributions are so great it has sent a standard most can only aspire to. Her volunteerism and activism on behalf of Deaf-Hoh children and their families is unparalleled. In 2015, Sandy embarked on a quest to spread information and training in Cued Speech to the masses, to ensure that this life-altering mode of communication would be accessible to tens of thousands of deaf children and their families and the professionals who serve them. In Spring of 2018, the Cue College website was launched. At the time of this writing, in 2021, hundreds of families have already used Cue College to learn this miraculous visual system of communication that enables them to freely communicate with and impart spoken language to their children. And Cue College is getting requests from school districts and universities from all parts of the country for Cued Speech training for their staff and students."
Al and Genie Kutchins, Board members and beloved volunteers. Rebecca Kutchins Fund. “ Once upon a time there were three sisters…” The Rebecca Kutchins Fund was established in 1987 to raise funds in Becky’s memory. These funds support various children’s charities. Currently the fund is supporting La Rabida Children’s Hospital, Save Abandoned Babies Foundation, Alexander Graham Bell Montessori School, EPIC Academy, and OneGoal. Your generosity helps children in so many ways!
Midwest Furniture Club
Bill Krause, a founding family and the father of a deaf daughter who attended AGBMS, was a representative with Century furniture and a leader in the Midwest Furniture Club, Chicago’s IHFRA chapter. Upon his passing, the Midwest Furniture Club dedicated their annual golf outing into a celebration and remembrance of Bill's memory. As a result, the club has become a long-time partner and supporter of the school. To date, the Midwest Furniture Club has donated close to $100,000 to AGBMS-AEHI over the years. We are truly grateful for the support of the Midwest Furniture Club!
