Infant / Toddler
Dear Parents, This week we started a little different by doing online meetings with the children. It was very exciting to see them following up with the songs and listening to every detail in the book. Once we resume classes we worked on practical life. Baby washing is not only popular with many children, but it’s also a wonderful practical life activity. Having a large number of steps is wonderful for the child’s concentration and sense of order. Many of the steps are also helpful for care of self, care of others such as dressing the baby and fastening snaps and Velcro. Practical life in Montessori develops motor control and coordination, and develops independence, concentration, and a sense of responsibility. The exercises in practical life cover two main areas of development: care of self, care of others and care of the environment. You can also practice with them at home, they all love practical life activities. Have a wonderful weekend and happy Thanksgiving 🍁🦃🍽
