To Hear by WilliamIt would be nice to hear without an implant. I would like that because I could hear things, I normally would not be able to hear. I could join conversations because I could hear what everyone is saying. I could also understand whispers.
I would not have to pretend I heard something even if I did not. People might like me better if I did not always say, “What did you say?” I could hear quieter sounds. I could hear quieter conversations when my family is eating Christmas dinner. I could celebrate Christmas without my implant dying. I would feel happy because I would feel like a normal person. I could watch Christmas movies without closed captions. Just two weeks of hearing over winter break would be so nice; it would change my life. I could also understand people on the phone better. I would cherish those two weeks. This is what I would do if I could do anything over winter break. I would be able to discover what it is like to hear. It would be so fun. I would always be able to reflect on those two weeks. |

Dr. Maria Montessori"We especially need imagination in science. It is not all mathematics, nor all logic, but it is somewhat beauty and poetry."
