Alexander Graham Bell Montessori School has had an active Parent Association since
the early 1990’s. The
objective of this organization is to enhance the school program
through its fundraising efforts. The PA organizes our Winter
Wreath Sale, Spring Plant Sale, and other school
events.
This year, the Parent Association
funded an all school trip to the Chicago Kids Company theater
for a performance of "Princess and the Pea," is funding an upcoming
presentation by the "Mad Scientist", will host the annual end of the
year picnic, and organizes the refreshments, set-up and clean-up for
the holiday play and graduation. The Parent Association also
purchased many educational materials for both the Children’s House
and Elementary classrooms.
Every family becomes a member of the Parent Association when
they pay their $50.00 fee.
The Parent Association meets periodically to plan events and
fundraising, such as the wreath and plant sales. Notices are given as to when
these meetings are held.
Besides helping out the school, it is a good place for
parents to meet other parents.
